I clipped this lamp on the headboard. The light shined on the top of my head. I notice my hair look fuller in that are. It takes a while to work.

Used once, jury is still out
Anything that claims to get rid of pain I’m going to try. I prefer to stay away from medications and prefer to go the route of natural or alternative.I have a few issues that could benefit from a product like this. While sitting at my desk for work, my neck gets sore. I also have arthritis in my hands that keep getting worse as time goes on.I can take OTC anti-inflammatories such as Aleve and pain relievers such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen but anything else messes with my stomach so I tend to shy away.I decided to try this to see if there were any benefits to it’s use.I only used it once and the jury is still out.It was easy to use. I plugged it into a USB port and hooked it to the back of my chair and allowed it to shine on my neck. I only did it for 20 minutes. I can’t say for sure whether or not it worked at reducing pain so I’ll try it on my hands to see if I can get some relief from arthritis. If there is a change and it does work for me, I’ll update my review accordingly.

Not sure that this delivers what it says
Pros:This comes with a fairly long (1.5m) power cable, a sturdy mounting clamp, and a flexible arm to let you position it conveniently. Its head is compact. It produces a fairly intense deep red light.Cons:The description claims 660nm red AND 850nm near-IR emission, but the array of 18 emitters in the head all seem to be of a single type. If this were truly producing IR, I’d expect to see two kinds of emitters, and I’d expect it to show up differently in camera shots. All I see is red light. (850nm IR light shows up as bluish-white light in the cameras I use; there’s none of that from this device.)As the description indicates, this doesn’t come with a power supply. You need to provide your own 5V 2A USB power supply. 2A is more than some laptop ports and power supplys can provide. The controls are VERY limited. It looks like there are four buttons on the in-line control, but there’s really just one, and three timer indicators for 10, 20, or 30 minutes. There is no way to leave the light on continuously, and there is no way to adjust its intensity. One could argue that you SHOULDN’T use this for longer periods, and that you should adjust the intensity by simply moving it closer to or farther from the target area, but these omissions still seem odd.Overall, I’m a bit disappointed in this. If you’re looking for a moderately intense source of deep red light, it’s worth considering, as long as you have an appropriate power supply on hand. If you expect IR light as well, I don’t think this unit will provide it.

Easy to use
This lamp is small and easy to use. The clip is convenient and so are the timers. I feel like the red light therapy does make a difference.

RLT in the convenience of your home!
I ordered the red-light therapy lamp because I have heard so much about them recently, I wanted to try it on my achy joints. I’m at the age where I’m using more products that claim to reduce the inevitable signs and symptoms of aging and the price point of this lamp made the decision to try it easy.I was surprised at how small the lamp is. It measures 3″ in diameter and houses 18 LED lights. The well-written instructions state that the lamp should be placed 6-12″ from the skin to treat a surface area of 4-7″ in radius. The suggested usage is 2-7 times per week for 10- 30 minutes. I would advise setting it up in an area where it’ll be convenient to use since it does require a commitment.I have been using the light mostly on my hands because I aggravated my arthritis recently with an injury. The light feels soothing on my hand even though I can’t tell if the red light and the infrared light are truly therapeutic. The controls on the lamp are easy to operate and the lamp turns off automatically with the timer (10, 20, 30 minute) function. It operates with a 63″ USB cord, but you’ll need a charging block to plug it into an outlet. The lamp has a one-year warranty.
