Powerful dietary data is unlocked with the NutriScale app (a subscription after the free trial)
I’ve been using this Ultrean Smart Food Kitchen Scale for about a week now with goals of losing weight and lowering my A1C (a diet of mainly veggies, salads, nuts, seeds, and meat). This scale gives me an impressive amount of information about my food choices each day, beyond the usual protein, fats, carbs, but also fiber, vitamins, and minerals.I’ve only touched the surface of it’s capabilities so far. The phone app uses AI to recognize foods and calculate their nutrients. Without the app, the scale works great as a stand-alone kitchen scale. I used it today to calculate postage, and it came up with the same exact weight as my older not-smart scale. This Ultrean scale does so much more than weigh items (it can weigh up to 22 lbs). The phone app is user-friendly, and I’ve been able to get by without reading the manual (which can be found in the app under “account”). I am enjoying learning how to use the app and will read the manual to maximize it’s capabilities. I will share a few photos from using the scale here… One is of my salmon and roasted veggies lunch, which the app was able to recognize the foods and then give the nutrients from a simple quick snapshot. The scale itself is nicely crafted out of stainless steel. It is thin and lightweight ~ and takes up little space to store. Three AAA batteries conveniently come with the scale. As noted above, this scale is accurate for everyday use in the kitchen or for calculating postage. The option of using the AI NutriScale app for detailed dietary data is what sets this scale apart from a regular kitchen scale. It will cost an extra $50/year subscription after the free month’s trial. The value of this scale is in that ability to access a breakdown of dietary data easily and quickly, and to track it over time. The only improvement would be to add a rechargeable USB-C battery for convenience.

Easy to use and calculate nutritional elements that you wish to add or avoid in your daily diet.
It took me a while to find just the right replacement for my old scale. I wanted something a little larger but not so large as to be a storage issue. This scale is sleek, has a larger ‘bed’ for setting your measurables on, but is slim and classy in design. The functionality is more useful than I anticipated and easy to change settings when needed. The stainless steel is an added plus as it blends in with my appliances and is easy to clean. I’m still learning the AI aspect of it and know that as time goes on, it will be incredibly useful. The nutritional calculator is what sold me on this scale as I am trying to gauge my food intake based on specific guidelines and this has very a real time saver for me. I give this scale a A++++.

Subscriptions to take pictures
It’s like you have to pay subscription for everything you own nowadays . I bought the expensive one because i thought that i could take pictures of the food, but i have to pay monthly subscriptions

Fancier than any other scale I’ve had
I bought this kitchen scale to help with portion control, meal prepping, and to weigh out the meat in bulk meat orders that I get and freeze. The surface is stainless steel and so far has not gotten any dings or scratches, plus it’s really easy to wipe down. The silver color looks just like the listing pics and matches all of the other stainless things in my kitchen. I actually tested the weight limit by weighing my big 17 lb floof of a cat on it. It stayed accurate with her massive furry butt, so I know it can handle much heavier items than the small plastic scales I have used before. The app that goes with it is really informative for checking stuff like protein and sugar levels, and so far I haven’t found anything that is blatantly wrong. All of the buttons have been really responsive, and I especially like that I can zero out the weight of my bowls with one button so I am only weighing the food itself. It runs on three AAA batteries that came included in the box, and so far they seem like full strength batteries instead of sample ones that die immediately so that’s nice. The screen is backlit and very easy to read even for someone with bad eyesight like me. It feels worth the price with the extra bells and whistles, and the convenience features.

Smart Scale
I’ve been using the Ultrean Smart Kitchen Scale and it’s been great for keeping portions and macros in check. The scale itself is well-built, looks clean, and has been accurate for everyday use. Being able to scan, log, and track calories in the app makes things a lot easier if you’re trying to stay consistent. The scale itself has a larger screen that displays data and the button functions are responsive. It does take a little getting used to at first, and syncing isn’t always instant. You’ll also need your phone nearby to really use all the features. At around $40, again, it’s a bit pricey for a scale, but the app and tracking tools help justify it. If you prefer something simple and more affordable, Ultrean’s basic scales are also great quality.

Super Scale that Syncs with Apple Health? Yes, please!
What a rad scale!Have another electronic scale that I use for cooking that sits in a drawer now that I have this one. The app for the phone is wonderful as it syncs with Apple health. The scale is accurate when compared to my other scale to the smallest decimal. It’s got a easy to clean surface if you get it messy which is nice and it doesn’t wobble on the counter top.Everything is easy to read, even the smaller aspects when you are in the pp and it changes the scale to reflect.

Not worth it
Took way too long to connect with my phone. AI was useless, anytime I asked one of its PROMPTED questions it said it “doesn’t know” or have any information. No uploaded regular store foods/snacks like Sunbelt Granola Bars, energy drinks. The AI tool, again, useless and didn’t recognize store bought snacks and uploaded a totally random brand I’ve never heard of– why would I pay $50 a year for AI that can’t perform basic tasks? I’ll try weighing out my fruits, veg, meal prep snacks to see if its worth keeping but it isn’t looking promising right now.
