Love this scale!!
Here are a few polished review-style sentences you can use:—The Wyze Ultra Bodyscan scale has become one of the most valuable tools in my weight‑loss journey. It gives me clear, detailed insights into my body composition, helping me stay motivated and understand my progress beyond just the number on the scale. The readings are consistent, the app is easy to use, and the extra metrics make it feel like having a personal health coach at home. I highly recommend it to anyone serious about tracking their fitness and wellness.

Good body scan scale
Update: 04/18/26 – my unit was evidently defective & it was replaced by the manufacturer. The new unit has had consistent readings & accuracy. I recommend this scale, especially if you use other devices in the Wyze family, since they all function with their app. While the display is good, it’s easy to use & results are quick to be displayed, the results that are displayed are erratic & may change drastically during the same usage. I weighed myself 3 times in a row and while weight remained the same, the body fat, bmi, muscle weight/%, etc. would change each time. I cleaned the scale surface, cleaned my feet & hands, to see if that was a factor. It changed the results but again it varies each time I stepped on the scale. While this scale may give some indication of how your general health is, don’t rely on it for accurate results. Perhaps the results will get better with future firmware updates, but for now I can’t recommend this scale if accuracy is important to you.

Great for motivation and trend tracking.
I did a bunch of research on whole-body smart scales and this one came out BY FAR as the best bang for my dollar. After using it daily for 3 months, I’ve been very happy with it. The only time I truly question readings are after salty meals or hard workouts, when any smart scale would give inaccurate readings due to hydration or glycogen flux. I live the single page full body report it gives each reading, broken down by body area, and the automatic profile switching so all members of my family can use it without messing up someone else’s data. I’m very happy with this purchase!

Love it!
I love this body scan scale! I scan myself every morning to track trends, and it works beautifully. Everything was easy to set up. And I love how it knows when somebody else is trying to use it and asks you if you want that information saved.

Body scan if’y, eats batteries

Severe body fat inaccuracy compared with previous Wyze scales
I’ve used Wyze scales for years and have a long, consistent history of weight and body-fat data. The Scale Ultra completely breaks that continuity. Used back-to-back on the same surface under identical conditions, it reports body fat at 8–9%, while my previous Wyze scale reports 14–15%. That’s a 40–50% relative difference in fat mass, which is not normal BIA noise. The old scale matches much more with my own visual estimate of my body fat.Wyze support says this is expected due to “different algorithms,” but that’s not a satisfying answer when two products from the same brand disagree this dramatically.Yes, all smart scales are estimates but an estimate that shifts this much is not useful, even for trend tracking. If you care about long-term data consistency or already own a Wyze scale, this upgrade is more confusing than helpful. Returning and sticking with the older model.

Surprisingly accurate compared to my DEXA scan
I recently compared this scale’s readings against a medical-grade DEXA scan taken on the same day, and the results were much closer than I expected.Using the “Athletic” mode (I lift weights weekly), the Wyze scale was nearly identical to the clinical report for the key metrics:Body Fat %: Wyze read 18.5%, DEXA read 18.6% (0.1% difference).Lean Body Mass: Wyze read 141.1 lbs, DEXA read 140.8 lbs (after adjusting for bone mineral content). The only clear limitation I found was with limb symmetry. My DEXA scan showed a 1-3% difference in muscle/fat between my left and right sides, but the Wyze scale just assigned equal values to both. It doesn’t seem to actually measure each limb independently but rather estimates an even split. The scale uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (2.4g only). I haven’t had any connection issues. It will auto-detect users and update your readings in the Wyze app. I attached the comparison metrics to DEXA and what the primary report looks like when viewing your results.A word of caution: Since all BIA scales use electrical resistance and algorithms to guess your composition, your mileage may vary depending on your body type. However, for tracking trends, I found this to be a very reliable tool for the price.
