Great weighted blanket
Bought 3 of the grey 15 lb weighted blankets. They came well packaged. They were thinner than expected. First night we all slept reasonably well being our legs felt weighted/heavy (followed instructions for those who never slept with a weighted blanket)…totally recommend following the instructions for adjusting to sleeping underneath the blanket.I began having trouble sleeping the second night. My legs and knees began to ache and I eventually took the blanket off. My knees felt much better, which led me to believe it had to do with my artificial knees. I believe the pressure from the blanket was too much for my knees. Now I cannot attest and say that other’s who have had their knees replaced, will have these issues, I just know that for me, the weight on my legs and knees does not work.I returned my blanket with no issues or problems from the company.The other two blankets are very much enjoyed by other family member members. The one family member has found that his restless legs has ceased. Also, he suffers from leg cramps quite often every week. Amazingly, this weighted blanket has actually has stopped his leg cramping, and he sleeps very well! Who would’ve thought a way that blanket would do that! Again, this does not mean that others will not have their restless legs or cramping, stop or ceased to a minimal. I can just attest to the family member and how it has greatly helped him .The third family member has really enjoyed her blanket as well. Loves the blanket!I cannot a test to it being waterproof, nor have I washed the blankets or anything else. I can say that the blanket is soft to the touch and does not slide off the onto the floor. The color is nice and will go with any decor, being grey neutral color.

Magical blanket.
When I opened the package, the blanket was folded into a cube shape and seemed very heavy. I couldn’t imagine sleeping under it. I ordered the 15 lb version as it was closest to the weight recommended for my size. Once I unfolded it and spread it out, I was still convinced it would be much too heavy. The instructions that came with the blanket said it would be helpful to start out by placing the blanket over only part of the body. I tried that and realized it didn’t really feel all that heavy, so went ahead and adjusted it so it covered all of me.This is a magical blanket! From the first night I was able to fall asleep quickly and stay asleep unless I needed to shift position. I ditched all my sleep aid supplements and have already saved so much by not buying them, the blanket has more than paid for itself.I don’t know how this works, I’m just so glad it does.

SMALL 2″ squares keep the weight evenly distributed! Now look forward to sleep!
UpDATE: Nov 12: Sadly, it’s packed away. Twin size is 38 inches wide. At average weight of 150 pounds I have the recommended weight blanket. I found even with rolling a bit side to side to “tuck” it around me, it is just a bit too wide to keep on a twin bed. I didn’t initially. I have seriously considered double stitching and cutting it down some. BUT CAUTION: the main reason I took it off is the weight! I’m going to be looking into getting a kids blanket – as in 8-10 pounds. My bro-n-law just went to a twin bed. Now his blanket is ending up on the floor as well. The concept is great. But I think allowances need to be made for smaller size to keep it on a smaller bed AND for us older peeps that don’t have the strength to deal with the weight. So far, my sister is still using her blanket on a Queen size bed. I am NOT changing my 5 star rating. Those 2×2 pockets keep it well distributed.* * * * *My bro-n-law has a weighted blanket (sis had made for him). After a year of moving it around to wash bedding I started thinking about getting one at Cmas when Penny’s had sale. I finally ordered TWO! Giving 1 to sis (she didn’t have 1 yet bcs too costly. THESE were great at $65! (Compare to the $200 Gravity) The small squares were the deciding point. Think about it a minute – keeps the fill nicely in place.I’ve had good sleep since the 1st night! I can’t recall the last time I remembered dreaming. I have dreamt every night in the week I’ve had this blanket! Before I was waking every 1-3 hours. Now pretty much sleep through the night. I WAS A SIDE SLEEPER. Now with a pillow under my knees 3 nights, I’m fine. The pillow stays there til wash day.TODAY I PUT THE DUVET on. Yes, I think the ones with the side zipper would be easier but this wasn’t bad. Just turn inside out and start at the top and work from side to side. Take a little care closing the zipper as the ties are close to it – 2 of the 4 were gently coaxed past the tie. (I did tight bows.) I have it between the sheet and comforter. Might just put a duvet on my comforter as well to protect from dog hair.Note: I have back issues from a couple of nursing home injuries. It’s heavy enough but at this time I can manage. I don’t think I the covers get as messed up as they used to! While doing this review it occurred to me I’m not feeling what had become the usual “ready for a nap” at 2pm! It’s worth a try! Hope this helps in your decision.

I’ve heard about these forever but had little to no interest in them – I love my bed, love my duvet…wasn’t looking to change my game. After learning these were great in reducing anxiety by offering the feeling of being swaddled – I thought I’d give it a go. First sleep – was dead asleep and have been ever since! The weight stops my from toss & turning and then prematurely waking up. I’ve joined the cult and haven’t shut up about w friends & family since.

Not sure if there was manufacturing issues but there were a number of problems right out of the box, sent it back, will update if newer one passes inspection
